What Do You Really Look Like?
You look good, you looked good yesterday. You look stunning today and you’re pretty sure that dressing up for tomorrow will make you look spectacular. But who’s that monstrosity that is in the Facebook album that has your name tagged in it?
People often see something different in the mirror than they do in photographs, it’s a fact!
The answer to this universal annoyance boils down to: your eyes, brain, mirror and camera are all major contributors that indirectly sabotage your body image.
Your Mirror
Sometimes, the lie stems from the boundaries of your very own bedroom! Yes, your very own mirror may be your biggest culprit yet. Because you face yourself every day, you can be accustomed to how you look like in YOUR mirror, making you accept the way you are and are used to how you usually look.
A mirror gives you a unique perspective of yourself. However, it is not absolute. Angles, lighting and perspective may vary depending on the individual as well. For example, looking at yourself from a distance will not be the same as looking at yourself 2 steps away.
Also, mirrors tend to tell a different story depending on the angle you are looking in.
You
What you see is what you are but many of us often see what we want to see. This deception often results in self-denial and will cause most of us to crawl into a shell of our self-depiction.
Photos often show us the way we are in a neutral uncaring perspective.
Your Camera
To a certain extent, the camera adds a couple of extra weight. The reason is simple; although camera sensors may absorb the same images as our eyes, the complex lens within a camera may alter our image!
The wide angle lens does play weird and ugly tricks on us because every image that is captured is unintentionally widened. It may be a common optical illusion but the fact of the matter is that it does exist.
So basically, we don't really look the same to the person in the mirror and also in the pictures. The real us is how we carry ourselves, our confident level (this doesn't mean over confident is a good one) and we don't really have to care about what others think about our look.
Anyway, there is one closest look to you, to help you to see how you really look like. You can capture the very best of yourself without spending mindless hours on angles and lighting by the help of a professional camera, we mean the unedited photo of you taken by high quality cameras like the DSLR.
This professional DSLR captures pictures at a natural perspective and gives it an almost life-like view when they are produced.
